Affiliate Scientist Program

The Affiliate Scientist Program is a major strength of the Center, representing numerous scientists from the University of Washington and other institutions both nationally and internationally. Located at one of the largest research universities in the country, the Center is in an exceptionally active research environment.

The program embodies the Center’s mission. Through direct collaboration with Core Staff Scientists and through independent research programs, affiliates make extensive use of Center resources to expand the scope of research at the Center. Graduate, medical and dental students and postdoctoral fellows have opportunities for training in a wide variety of disciplines. They develop new methods and equipment, for both basic and clinically applied research.

A promising goal of the program is to coordinate the collaborative use of research resources and to actively promote accessibility and public awareness of these resources to the nation’s research community.

For more information on the Affiliate Scientist Program, please contact the Center.
