Eliza Curnow authors paper featured on cover of Human Reproduction

Eliza Curnow, a research scientist in the Center’s Reproductive and Developmental Sciences Division, authored a paper featured on the cover of the October 2010 issue of the journal Human Reproduction. The paper is titled  “In vitro developmental potential of macaque oocytes, derived from unstimulated ovaries, following maturation in the presence of glutathione ethyl ester.”

Curnow and colleagues studied the impact of increased oocyte glutathione levels on fertilization and embryonic development in macaques as a model for the improvement of human oocyte in vitro maturation, an emerging clinical tool to assist sub-fertile couples conceive.
